Thank you to everyone who contacted me about the throw. It went to the speedy AlpacaAddict. In other news, this morning I photographed what will probably be my final FO of 2010, the Cash Iroha sweater.

There are some projects that will never see the light of day as an FO, my Colinette throw is one of them.

Controversially, I haven’t knitted any Christmas presents this year. My family and friends probably have enough hats, gloves and scarves for the moment. Also, I felt like a year off; knitting to a deadline has a tendency to take the fun out of it.

If there’s one thing I’ve learnt, it’s the importance of at all times having a stash of fine quality, hand-dyed sock yarn. When I noticed that Cocoon had a few skeins of my favourite sock yarns; Fyberspates Sheila’s Sock and British Merino Dream Sock, at a discounted price, how could I resist?

I am a bad knitter when it comes to following patterns, too simple, too difficult, badly written, any errata and I lose interest entirely and do my own thing. I’m working on a couple of projects right now that I’m making up as I go along.

I recently got me one of those newfangled Kindle things. I’m rather pleased that I finished a couple of big projects this weekend. First, my Featherweight Cardigan: I added length to both the body and sleeves, and knitted the band in 1×1 rib.
