Lace knits on the high street

I had a quick nose around Topshop yesterday and noticed a lot of interesting lace knitwear in an earthy palette of pale grey, cream, camel, dusky pink and muted peach.

Apricot pointelle fluffy open cardigan

Knitted pointelle kimono shrug

Camel knitted cropped top with kimono sleeves

Grey long sleeve cobweb top

The ‘cobweb top’ is a particular favourite, it reminds me of the Sea Tangles sweater pattern. If you like what you see, there are plenty of patterns to help you get the look, try Serrano by Laura Chau, Layering Shrug (PDF) from Loop or Allure by Kim Hargreaves.

Fyberspates have a good selection of earthy pastel yarn shades, I like Elegance Lace in Blush and Gold, Scrumptious 4 ply in Oyster, Nef Sock in Pale Gold and Nef Lace in Pale Pewter.
