About the yarn
We have created 24 new hand-dyed shades for the Advent Calendar, in a palette of gentle variegation and tonals. Each skein is named and individually labelled.
- Favourite Sock Minis – beautifully soft 100% Merino superwash wool
- 4 ply/fingering weight, 73m per 20g skein
- Total amount of yarn 480g
- This is the same yarn as our Favourite Sock full size skeins, so they can be used together in projects
About the extras
Of course, we can’t reveal what’s in the box but you can take a look at our 2018 Advent Calendar to get an idea. Many of the surprise gifts are sourced from other small producers, including Saw Chocolate, an incredible artisan chocolatier local to us in Walthamstow. This year, three of the treats have been designed and created especially to go in the box.
One of the treats contains nuts – if you are an allergy sufferer please contact us for advice.
We have worked hard to create the box in line with our values of sustainability and supporting other local makers and small businesses.
About the pattern
This year’s pattern is a stranded colourwork accessory, designed by Suzie. The pattern will be released on 1 December, and delivered on the day via email. You’re encouraged to use the colours any way you want and make it your own.
Because of the work involved we make a very limited number of Advent Calendars, the majority are sold as pre-orders, but we have a few extra this year which are ready to ship.
The box contains no religious references (other than the name), and is designed to be a fun festive treat whether you celebrating a religious festival or simply enjoy yarn-based surprises!
