Hoxton Luxe is a refined and upgraded version of our free beginner pattern, Hoxton Basic. Refinements include elegant crown shaping, a folded brim, four child and adult size options and seamless construction.

Skill level
Easy – this projects is knitted in the round on either circular or double-pointed needles. It uses knit and purl stitches and simple decreases. If you’re a very new knitter, we recommend you try Hoxton Basic.

Needles
- 5.5mm (US 9) circular needle at least 40 (40, 60, 60) cm/16 (16, 24, 24) inches in length, or set of five 20cm/8 inch double-pointed needles
- 6mm (US 10) circular needle at least 80cm/32 inches in length, or set of five 20cm/8 inch double-pointed needles
Pompom
The hat can be topped off with either a home made or a purchased pompom.
For child sizes: 8.5cm/3½ inch pompom (Clover size L pompom maker) using approx. 10m/11 yards yarn in main colour.
For adult sizes: 11.5cm/4½ inch pompom (Clover size XL pompom maker) using approx. 25m/27 yards yarn in main colour.
Purchased pompoms: We love Rico’s faux fur pompoms, available in a multitude of colours; or Toft’s ethical fur pompoms, made from the pelts of young Alpacas that have died of natural causes.

16 stitches and 22 rows over 10cm/4 inches in stocking/stockinette stitch on 6mm needles
