So far it’s been a productive September at It’s a Stitch Up towers, we have so many new colours and one entirely new yarn!
First the new yarn addition: We’ve been working on the perfect yarn for lace for a while and we believe that this is it. Brilliance 4 Ply is spun from the same British Bluefaced Leicester wool in our Awesome Aran blending with 45% silk. It has an incredible shine, which makes for an almost metallic appearance when colour is added. It’s perfect for lace knitting and fine sweaters. At the moment it’s available in three contrasting shades inspired by the earth’s minerals.

Next up, we have a new shade of Awesome Aran, commissioned by a very special group of people. It’s a stunning shade of variegated green and every skein raises money for women’s shelter charity Refuge.

We’re continuing to develop the palette for Awesome Aran and hope to have a range of new semi-solids ready in October to complete the spectrum. We’re also about to publish our first pattern for Awesome Aran, a 1-skein cabled cowl.
Last but not least, we have some popular shades of Favourite Sock back in stock, and some brand new shades!

Reaction is a new shade for September, it’s the fiery cousin of ever popular Refraction, which is back in stock.
Favourite Sock in ‘Space Dust’
Space Dust is September’s sock club shade and we have a little left for purchase. We thought we’d try something different this month and the result is a complex shade that’s almost black with little bursts of random colour (really hard to capture on camera!)
And lastly, Careless Whisper is back in stock after selling out a few months ago. It’s a pale grey with bright magenta speckles.
