Shade: Hayward – semi-solid pale grey
The Hayward Gallery is an brutalist icon on the Thames. Its facade of grained wood-shuttered concrete gives an organic texture to the hard exterior of jutting, jarring shapes. Our collection of neutral greys is inspired by London’s modern architectural landmarks.
Plump, round, squishy, firm, springy and endlessly versatile! DK is the classic knitters' yarn gauge, great for most types of projects but especially sweaters, and we’ve created a colour range with this in mind.
Bluefaced Leicester ('BFL') is a native British sheep breed beloved for its softness, and our yarns are made from the finest fleece that the sheep produces. It has a subtle lustre unique to the breed that gives our hand-dyed colours an incredible depth. Bluefaced Leicester fleece has an unusually long staple length (up to 15 cm/6"), which delivers superb wear and resistance to pilling in finished garments. Being a superwash yarn, it's easy to care for, too!
