The Yarn

Favourite Sock Minis are 100% Merino superwash wool in a 4 ply/fingering weight, with 73m per 20g skein. They are the same specification as our full-size skeins of Favourite Sock so are perfect for combining in larger projects.

We have created this set of shades with the pattern in mind but they form a versatile colour palette that can be used together in many other ways. The shades include semi-solids and a few with subtle variegation. The shades are similar to the set we dyed for the original pattern kits but with a new twist. If you are curious, you can see the original set and learn more about the inspiration behind the pattern here, or maybe you would rather keep it a surprise.

The Pattern

The cowl design is inspired by Scandinavian mountain landscapes and draws influence from a range of colourwork traditions. If you’re looking at the pattern and thinking “whoa, that looks tricky”, let us reassure you; if you have previously done any stranded colourwork, and can knit in-the-round and follow charts, you can take this on and win. Each stranded row is for two colours only and the longest floats are seven stitches. A 3.25mm (US 3) circular needle at least 60cm/24 inches long is required (not included).

Please contact us for advice if you have food allergies or other dietary requirements. We’re not able to offer gluten-free or nut-free options this time, but we do have a vegan-friendly option and we’ll try our best to accommodate other requests.

The boxes are packed to order and will ship within a few days. UK shipping is free; all international orders will be shipped using fully tracked, express airmail. EU Customers – you can order this item with IOSS paid through our Etsy Store!

The UK and international shipping methods we use are generally very reliable around the festive season, but in these times of unprecedented world events, delays are possible and beyond our control. Unfortunately, we cannot compensate for any boxes that arrive late.
