Unlike previous years’ Festive Boxes, the contents are wrapped as a whole, rather than individually as daily parcels. We’ve made this change in order to keep the box as affordable as possible and minimise waste.

The yarn

For this set, we’ve chosen a smooth, round 4-ply/sock weight yarn in British Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) superwash wool. This fibre has a lustrous quality, which gives a real depth of colour and perfectly complements the hazy, muted shades in this set.

Bluefaced Leicester is a native British sheep breed. Its long staple length makes it hard-wearing and a great choice for socks. Being a superwash yarn, it’s easy to care for too.

Each 20g skein measures approximately 80m. The total amount of yarn is 160g/640m. We recommend a needle size of around 3.25mm for regular knitting, and 2.25mm for socks.

The shades

We have created a gradient set of 8 semi-solid shades, inspired by the enigmatic landscape of the Grand Canyon. The set is perfect for gradient or striped socks, gloves, fingerless mittens and other accessories. For example, Clouds Sock by Rebecca A. (free download from Ravelry) with contrasting stripes would be a fun way to use the set.

Diet and allergens

The edible treats in this box contain nuts and dairy products. Because we are making such limited numbers this year, unfortunately we are not able to cater for individual requirements.

Shipping

The boxes are currently being assembled ready for shipping around 8 December. If you purchase other items at the same time as this preorder we will ship all the items together once your box is ready.

International orders are welcome but we cannot guarantee delivery before Christmas.
