- 100% fine British Bluefaced Leicester superwash wool
- 100g, 225 meters (246 yards)
- DK/light wosted weight
- 3.5-4.5mm needles recommended
- 22 stitches over 10cm (4 inches) using 4mm needles
- Machine washable on wool programme at up to 30°C
Plump, round, squishy, firm, springy and endlessly versatile! DK is the classic knitters' yarn gauge, great for most types of projects but especially sweaters, and we’ve created a colour range with this in mind.
Bluefaced Leicester ('BFL') is a native British sheep breed beloved for its softness, and our yarns are made from the finest fleece that the sheep produces. It has a subtle lustre unique to the breed that gives our hand-dyed colours an incredible depth. Bluefaced Leicester fleece has an unusually long staple length (up to 15 cm/6"), which delivers superb wear and resistance to pilling in finished garments. Being a superwash yarn, it's easy to care for, too!
