Shade: Trellick – semi-solid light-mid neutral grey, slightly mottled
Designed by preeminent Modernist architect Erno Goldfinger, Trellick Tower is a brutalist housing block in west London. Since its completion in 1972 it has been a one of the city’s most derided buildings, while simultaneously being a cherished landmark, with many residents admiring its fortress-like quality. Our collection of neutral greys is inspired by London’s modern architectural icons.
Favourite Sock is the perfect signature yarn to showcase our full palette of dye effects, and now it's available in 20g mini-skeins in our most popular hand-dyed colours and an exclusive range of neons.
There are so many ways to use sock minis: Add contrast edging to cuffs, brims and collars; create a fade; use in a stranded design; stripes; modular blankets; or just sample a colour without committing to a full skein.
This beautiful yarn has great stitch definition and unparalleled 'smooshiness'. It is super-soft, yet hard-wearing enough to be used for socks, but it's also perfect for any 4 ply/fingering weight wool project. It's our go-to for baby clothes, gloves and lightweight sweaters. Being a superwash yarn it's easy to care for too.
Our merino is farmed in Argentina and is guaranteed mulesing-free. Farmers are supported by the mill to raise their sheep under ethical farming practices. The yarn is spun in Peru, where the fleece is first graded by highly-skilled workers to ensure consistent quality.
