Zebra 4 ply is an unusual yarn which can be used to complement Favourite Sock or hand dyed with spectacular effect. The yarn is formed of two strands, one being natural ecru and the other alternating ecru and black, giving a barber pole appearance and a marled look when worked up.

Superwash treatment ensures it will take dyed brilliantly and there is no danger of felting. It also gives the yarn a soft, smooth feel.

It has a looser twist than our Favourite Sock yarn, and so we don’t recommend it for sock knitting but it is ideal for garments and lace knitting.
