An early Christmas present…to myself

If there’s one thing I’ve learnt, it’s the importance of at all times having a stash of fine quality, hand-dyed sock yarn. When I noticed that Cocoon had a few skeins of my favourite sock yarns; Fyberspates Sheila’s Sock and British Merino Dream Sock, at a discounted price, how could I resist?

Cocoon is sparingly furnished with a small, yet luxurious selection of yarns, patterns and equipment. It’s one of my favourite shops because it’s less like a shop and more like a curated collection of lovely things, and the goodies arrive so beautifully packaged.

A Habu Textiles Scarf Kit also fell into my shopping basket. I’ve been meaning to try out Habu Textiles’ unusual yarns, particularly those with a stainless steel core, and this seems like a good place to start.

I’ve been burning through stash yarn at quite a rate over the last month so I’m not going to feel guilty!
