Stash ups and downs

If  2010’s stash down attempt was evaluated in a school report, it would read ‘must try harder’. I do try, honestly.

I created another pretty heat-map of my stash yarn (if you’re using an RSS reader, visit the blog post on the website to see it):

Yarn in stash

Overall I have less yarn, and the stash looks more balanced. But also, a shift towards the finer end, which means that even though I have less skeins, I have more yardage. Not good.

Aside from the stash acquired in Norway I have a couple of other new additions. Some Madeline Tosh sock I gratefully recieved for my birthday.

Some Noro Kureyon Sock. I am very impressed with that stuff, it doesn’t seem prone to breakage and might be tough enough for actual socks (knotty socks though).

I have already started knitting a blanket with it, so that makes it OK that I bought three skeins.

Even more sock yarn then… The de-stash isn’t really working…

That is a beautiful green skein of Tosh Sock.

I’m glad to hear you think the Kureyon is tough enough for socks. I’ve got 6 big balls of Noro sock yarn now and I’m starting to think I should have a project in mind…

You stash sheet puts my stash sheet to shame.

As far as I’m concerned, if you like working with it, it shouldn’t be a problem that you own more of it.
