We have made this available as an undyed yarn by the skein for you to dye yourself, or use as a contrast with our range of hand dyed shades. It absorbs dye brilliantly and there is no danger of felting.
A cosy, tactile British wool yarn with a soft, lofty feel. It's a great all-rounder you'll reach for for warm garments and accessories.
This yarn has a 2-ply structure with a relaxed character. It gives simple stitches a lovely organic appearance and is also ideal for textured stitches, cables and stranded designs.
Bluefaced Leicester ('BFL') is a native British sheep breed beloved for its softness, and our yarns are made from the finest fleece that the sheep produces. It has a subtle lustre unique to the breed that gives our hand-dyed colours an incredible depth. Bluefaced Leicester fleece has an unusually long staple length (up to 15 cm/6"), which delivers superb wear and resistance to pilling in finished garments. Being a superwash yarn, it's easy to care for, too!
