This beautiful yarn was hand spun and hand dyed by Suzie in East London.
Wensleydale is a traditional British sheep breed that’s fleece has a unique drape and glossy sheen quite unlike regular wool, thanks to the its distinctive curly, lustrous locks that you can see in the photo of a prize-winning Wensleydale in 1904.
The Wensleydale lustre gives the colour an inimitable depth and intensity.
It’s spun thick-and-thin, roughly aran weight. We recommended you swatch to find the right tension, because of the unusual Wensleydale fibre characteristics.
This very special skein is non-repeatable.
This is a handmade one-off.
