Good news for customers in Norway!

We’re grateful to have so many lovely customers in Norway, and we’re happy to be able to make it a little easier for you – we’re now registered for Norwegian VAT and accept payment in NOK.

We know it can be expensive for those of you in Norway to buy from us (extra thankful that you do!). If you’re fed up with nasty surprises and delays at customs, and the sneaky 150 NOK ‘clearance fee’, we have great news! We’ve joined the VOEC (VAT on e-commerce) scheme so our Norwegian customers can have a much better experience.

What are the benefits?

  • You see the full cost of your order upfront – prices include VAT
  • There’s no VAT or duty to pay at the border and no customs clearance fee!
  • Your parcel whizzes through customs because there’s no extra paperwork

How does it work?

Select “Norway” as your shipping country in our shop (you can do this in the basket and on any of the product pages), and we’ll display prices in NOK inclusive of VAT. We now collect Norwegian VAT when you place your order, so there are no additional charges for you to pay at the border.

Details of the goods in your order, along with our VOEC registration number, are sent electronically to Norwegian Customs by the postal service so that the customs service can automatically clear your parcel when it arrives at the border. We also provide a paper customs declaration (CN22) as a back-up.

We include a printed VAT receipt (attached to the outside of your parcel) showing the total amount of VAT paid and how it was calculated.

How much VAT is added?

The current rate of VAT is 25.0%. We are obliged to collect VAT on most goods and on the delivery charge. Books and printed publications are exempt from VAT, so we do not collect VAT on those.

The shopping basket page displays the amount of VAT that has been included in the totals.

Help and information

If you have any questions or feedback about our service, please get in touch.

More about VOEC (skatteetaten).

VOEC is a relatively new system, and in rare cases, goods might not move as smoothly as they should. In the unlikely event that you are double-charged, we will refund the VAT we collected from you. Please keep all paperwork and proof of payment so we can correctly report and investigate the issue.
