FO: Bohus mittens

2012 didn’t quite end the way I planned it, I was struck with bad luck in the form of a fracture to my right arm obtained during some festive ice skating. I suffered a more serious fracture to my left arm in 2011 and had only just regained full movement so it was very disheartening. It has made blogging and crafting a little difficult but to my amazement I have been able to to knit! I have finished a few small projects over December including these Bohus-inspired fingerless mittens to match my hat.

As with the hat, the colour work is based on the Red Palm chart from the marvellous book Poems of Colour: Knitting in the Bohus Tradition [my review]. I used 9 shades in total, details can be found on the Ravelry project page.

I’m looking forward to having the cast removed on 9th January when I will be able to wear them.
